Who We Are
Blumka Contemporary is a nomadic gallery founded by Quintin Blumka, the fifth-generation art dealer of the Blumka family. Building on the foundation of the family’s fourth-generation Blumka Gallery, this new initiative bridges over 150 years of the family’s distinguished legacy with a forward-looking vision for contemporary art.
Rooted in a deep understanding of historical connoisseurship, Blumka Contemporary champions contemporary artists whose work resonates with timeless human themes while engaging with the present cultural moment. From internationally recognized figures like Tim Okamura to emerging visionaries such as Colton Kruizenga and Nikolina Kovalenko, the gallery’s program explores the evolving dialogue of contemporary art.
Blumka Contemporary has participated in major art fairs, including Scope Miami, Art on Paper New York, and Scottsdale Ferrari Art Week, and collaborates with peer institutions such as Ki Smith Gallery to present innovative exhibitions. Through these initiatives, the gallery fosters the careers of emerging and mid-career artists while maintaining the rigorous scholarly standards that have defined the Blumka family for generations.
